VILNIAUS SUAUGUSIUJU MOKYMO CENTRAS (Vilnius Adult Education Centre) was established in 1993. Here adult students can acquire complete or partial upper secondary education. The Centre has already done its steps in applying the non-formal principles as the method of teaching and learning. Therefore adult students can choose a single subject providing knowledge of a certain level and amount. There is a possibility of taking an examination after every course and getting a certificate. The students of the Centre are people over 18 years old and elderly people. At the Centre adults can meet and learn together, create networks, update existing knowledge, or acquire new skills and competencies, as well as develop socio-cultural competence through participation in EU and local projects.
