Overview (short introduction to the method):

Creative and artistic workshops create bonding in a team and enhance creativity. They strengthen team cohesiveness and belonging and promote personal growth, development and creative expression.

Objectives:

  • Provide a relaxed space for team members interact and know each other outside of their usual work routine and environment

  • Create team experiences that enrich the team spirit

  • Stimulate team identity and facilitate open communication

  • Unlock creativity of the participants

Expected outcomes :

Strengthened team cohesiveness and belonging. Improved communication and collaboration, increased sense of bonding in the team. Improved well-being and motivation through creative expression. Promoted personal growth and inspiration.

Instructions:

In order to organize a creative workshop you need to:

  1. Define the goals

  2. Decide who will attend the workshop and who will run it

  3. Choose the right location and arrange all necessary resources

  4. Create an agenda

  5. Develop a follow-up plan

 

During the workshop:

  1. Start with tuning in, a bonding moment that deepens trust of the participants through opening up to each other in a new, positively vulnerable way.

  2. Give an opportunity to the participants to unleash their creativity by choosing a subject, materials or form of the artwork they are going to create.

  3. Facilitate the process of creation.

  4. Debrief the session and encourage reflection on the learning from the workshop.

  5. Collect the feedback.

Variations:

The workshop could be co-created with goals and values of the organizations in mind. It could be facilitated by a professional artist, craftsman/woman, trainer, or by some of the colleagues who would like to share their passion and skills in art. The workshop could be transformed into creative peer-to-peer fair where colleagues share their creative passions, hobbies and skills, learn from each other and collaborate on a new level. It could be followed by the exhibition of artworks or hobbies of the colleagues.
